“Rape in the Fields”

For the women who pick and process the food we eat every day, getting sexually assaulted, and even raped, is sometimes part of the job. In a yearlong investigation, the new FRONTLINE documentary, “Rape in the Fields” reveals the story of the hidden price paid by many migrant women working in America’s fields and packing plants to stay employed and provide for their families. Winner of the 2014 Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award for excellence in broadcast and digital news. A discussion follows the film. Presented by The Friends and The Advocates for Human Rights.
