When the Black Hawk that she is flying crashes in Iraq, Captain Jessica Kraig suffers a traumatic brain injury and begins to experience memory problems. While receiving treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC, she hears some doctors discussing a condition called post-traumatic amnesia. These doctors say that Kraig’s memory problems are directly connected to her accident, but Kraig is convinced that there is another explanation for her memory lapses: the drugs that she has been receiving in treatment. What she does remember is that she saw something in Iraq that certain people did not want her to see, but she cannot recall exactly what it is. Kraig becomes determined to uncover the truth and stay alive.

Chuck Logan is the author of eight previous books, including Homefront, which was made into a major motion picture of the same name by Millennium Films and starred Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryder and Kate Bosworth. A Vietnam veteran, he lives in Stillwater, Minnesota with his wife and daughter.
