About the Book

When Caroline, a gifted ornithologist who wants a life of travel and adventure, gets pregnant against her wishes, her husband, Charlie, assumes she will change her mind. She doesn’t – and as their daughter, Grace, grows up, she falls through the devasting schism that has grown between them.

About the Author

Maren Cooper grew up in the Midwest and now resides in St. Paul. She currently serves as a volunteer for various nonprofits and retreats frequently to the shore of Lake Superior, where she loves to hike and watch the deer devour her hosta. Finding Grace is her second novel.

Six weeks of readings with great writers. Fireside Reading Series, ongoing in partnership with Hamline Midway Library for 29 years, highlights the work of some of Minnesota’s finest writers who have published new work.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund and the generous support of Minnesota United.
