Opus & Olives

In ten short years, Opus & Olives has become one of the premier literary evenings of the Twin Cities. Event attendance at this fun event has grown to include over 1,100 community leaders from the business, political and social worlds.

The evening begins with a reception during which the emcee and authors are available to speak with guests and sign books, which can be purchased at the event. There’s a fun martini bar, as well as traditional cocktails and complimentary wine. Following this is a wonderful, chef-prepared, sit-down dinner after which each author speaks about their book, the writing process, and their inspiration. The evening ends with another opportunity to visit with authors and purchase books.

Opus & Olives is a fundraising event hosted by – and supporting the work of – The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library and local literacy projects of the Pioneer Press.

Next year’s Opus and Olives: Find Print & Fine Food will be held October 12, 2014 at the RiverCentre in Saint Paul. Tickets to Opus & Olives will go on sale in July. Tentative plans include the cocktail reception starting at 5 p.m. with author meet-and-greet, autographs, and book sales; dinner and author presentations at 6:15 p.m.; and prize drawing at 9 p.m. Plan to join us… if past experience has proven anything, it’s that each year is better than the year before!
