Because of The Friends, the Library can respond to community needs that aren’t met with tax dollars.
The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library invests in libraries through fundraising advocacy and programming.
That means that each year, we raise money from community members and institutions to support our Library. We advocate for library priorities with public officials. As part of the process, we activate community members to give them a voice in support of their library. As the Library of Congress-designated Center for the Book in Minnesota, we produce dynamic programming for libraries across the state. Through our consulting services, Library Strategies, we also strengthen libraries and library organizations nationwide.
